We are a volunteers who hold the hand of people going through what may be their darkest hour. We believe that no one should have to face death or crisis alone. We do not have to have all the answers or all the right words, we just need to be there with an open heart. If you would like to be a part of our amazing team of volunteers, follow the steps below. If you have any questions, please contact Tina Maxwell at (817) 598-4325 or tmaxwell@weatherfordtx.gov
Fill out the forms below so we can get to know a little more about you!

DownloadComplete the two online classes located here: https://www.tdcj.texas.gov/divisions/vs/tvat_online.html or attend an in-person training the next time we host it.
You will also need to complete the Criminal Justice Information Services Security and Privacy Training as well. Email us when you are ready to complete this training.
Now that you've been approved and know what to do, we have a few more forms for you to fill out. You will need to set up an appointment to get fingerprinted through https://www.identogo.com. Specific instructions on how to sign up for fingerprints will be emailed to you. If you haven't heard from us, call (817) 598-4325.
Now you're ready to volunteer! We have meetings on the third Thursday of every month at 6pm. You will be added to a group message where you will receive updates and information on when you are needed to assist a person in crisis. When you respond to a call, fill out the form below and turn it in at the next meeting or email a copy of it to tmaxwell@weatherfordtx.gov.
